Depending on our day and circumstances, every practice is going to be different.
Specifically talking about how well we took care of ourselves before stepping onto a yoga mat.
Once you begin yoga on your mat you are immediately brought to attention of what is happening within. Not just physically, but emotionally and mentally.
We begin to analyse the parts of the body in need.
Followed by our reactions and thoughts only to realize how those three things are connected.
Our bodies send signals for our brains to form into information to process and or communicate. As well as vise versa. Our brains send signals in order to connect to our bodies to shift and move.
When attending a yoga class it is important to understand that each individual has their own process on their mat that comes from within. Some take time to find it in the beginning and it's the work of not comparing their process to another's. Especially working through injuries compared to non-injuires, yoga is about finding that channel of healing for your wellbeing to prosper.
The more one heals and recovers the more they are likely to begin taking the same process into their lives beyond their yoga mat. Soon yoga becomes the backbone to their every day lives. Depending on the day and circumstances every practice is going to be different, some days some poses are more accessible than others. Checking the list and measuring how you have taken care of yourself within.
Yoga can be anything from a handstand or child's pose.
The question is what is the body calling?
What pose is going to reap the most rewards based on your health.
Being aware of all shapes, sizes and conditions. It is important to acknowledge our potential and focusing on what our bodies are capable of. The point is knowing that if you set a goal, working with what you have combined with consistency will help you reach it.
On the yoga mat and off the yoga mat.
